WHO WAS IN IT!

There were quite a few people that were in the strike for the Major Leagues. Allen H. Selig was the main guy in the strike.He was the 9th Commissioner of baseball. He loved the Milwaukee Brewers. He was in the Milwaukee community. He won a whole bunch of awards. He participated in a whole bunch of activities including the Stand Up To Cancer Named Innovative Research Grant. He got the Major leagues to donate a $10 million initial pledge and then a $20 million donation.

The owners kept making proposals and tring to negotiate for more money. One day they did 3 and-a-half hours of negotiation wih the federal mediators tryig to settle this deal. They made no progress with this strike. The had no other sessions to talk with anybody on the 4th week of this. Bud Sleig gave them a dead line to reach an agreement otherwise there would be o season. If they canceled the rest of the season, the owners would lose $580 million and the players would lose $230.
